Rosemary Beach, Florida

The landscape at the Gaskin Residence in Rosemary Beach, Florida exhibits the same whimsical character of the house by architect George Israel. The multi-colored pavers and unique use of the building materials contribute an abstract gothic look with a tapestry of varied patterns. The arched gateway repeats the same shape at the front entrance. Space flows from the entrance gate to the side patio and terrace as a function of circulation as well as outdoor living space. The paving pattern varies in shape and color as the three primary areas transition to the next space. A fountain at the gateway wall provides the soothing sound of light rain. The plant material used are all natives in keeping with the Rosemary Beach guidelines.
